Behind The Scenes
The Challenge
How can a wellness app feel both structured and flexible? Users wanted an experience that could guide them without feeling rigid — something that supported all kinds of goals, from stress relief to running a 5K. Stride needed to balance personalized coaching with freedom and ease.

Research & Insights
I conducted surveys and one-on-one interviews with people of all ages and fitness levels. One of the big takeaways was that motivation isn’t always constant — it changes depending on the day, the mood, and even the weather. Users wanted something that made tracking progress visual and rewarding, without being overwhelming. Everyone kept coming back to the same idea: make it simple, make it clear, and make it feel good to use.
These insights shaped everything — from the layout of the screens to the icon design.

App Design & User Flow
Using Figma, I mapped out the entire app flow and designed high-fidelity mockups. My focus was on calm colors, smooth navigation, and typography that’s friendly and easy on the eyes.
The app opens with a goal-setting screen, where users can choose what they want to focus on — things like stress relief, creating new habits, or increasing activity. The dashboard tracks steps, calories, and weight progress, all with visual graphs that update daily.

Users can also explore journeys, which are themed wellness paths — some are faith-based, others are athletic or centered around mindfulness. Each journey has its own set of guided activities, reflections, and motivation prompts.

There’s a space called “Moments” that lets users log personal reflections, meditation prompts, or affirmations. It brings in the mental and emotional aspect of wellness, so it’s not just about workouts — it’s about balance.

Marketing & Merch
To bring the brand to life, I designed social graphics, banner ads, and physical swag like drawstring bags. Everything followed the same tone — calm, encouraging, and grounded. The tagline we used was "Your Journey. Your Speed. Your Stride." It was meant to reinforce the message that wellness is personal, and there’s no one right way to move forward.

Outcome
The final product felt calm, inviting, and motivating. Users loved how they could tailor their journey to fit their mood or energy level. The design created space — space to move, space to reflect, and space to grow. The visuals connected across social platforms and physical merch, creating a cohesive, memorable brand.

Reflection
Stride was one of my most holistic projects — it combined research, UX design, brand storytelling, and real-life motivation. It reminded me that wellness is deeply personal, and good design should always make people feel seen, supported, and inspired to keep going.
